In addition to designing and constructing costumes, I specialize in integrating special effects makeup to blend the character design into the body to enhance it’s realism. Whether it's creating an atlantean sculpture under the sea, surrealist expression of birds flying off my face, or making a twitch streamer’s merch come to life, I use SFX makeup as a powerful tool to bridge the gap between costume and character and to embrace playful designs and experimentation. 
The incorporation of multiple techniques such as silicone and latex prosthetic creation, application and painting, 3D sculpting and a little ingenuity allows me to experiment and combine the various skill sets I have to create unique looks. My work is always guided by narrative needs and client needs.
Collaborating closely with performers and commissioners, I tailor each look to be expressive, comfortable, and high-impact from both a distance and up close. I view costuming and SFX makeup as inseparable elements of immersive character creation. Together, they build a visual language that speaks before a single word is said.
